Micah Melling is the Chief Data Scientist at Americo Financial Life and Annuity, one of the largest life insurance companies in the nation. Prior to joining Americo, Micah led the data science team at Spring Venture Group, a leading technology company in Kansas City. He also previously worked as a data analyst for Edelman, a large marketing firm, in their DC office.

Micah graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2015 with a BSBA, double-majoring in economics and business management.  In the summer of 2016, he completed Georgetown University’s Professional Certificate in Data Science. In 2020, he obtained a Masters in Data Science from Rockhurst University.

BaseballDataScience.com is the combination of Micah’s passions: baseball and data science.  A lifetime Kansas City Royals fan, his love for the game is only equaled by his love for data. Micah is also the author of Applied Full Stack Data Science and Secure Cloud Data Science.
